Q: Do I need drums before starting lessons?
A: This is a tough question...In most cases yes, with the exception of young students who are unsure of the commitment to lessons. We recommend to parents who are unsure if their child will stick with lessons to start of with a practice pad before investing to much money on the instrument.
Q: Do you charge a registration fee?
A: No, The Lancaster Musical Education Center does not charge a registration fee. Simply call or email to schedule a lesson.
Q: Does the center offer lessons for other instruments?
A: LMEC offers drum lessons only. Call us or email us anyway we do our best to refer students to other teachers. We are also in the process of building a searchable teacher database. Join our mailing list to stay updated.
Q: How often are lessons?
A: Lessons are scheduled once a week.
Q: Does a student need to be a certain age to begin lessons?
A: We accept students age five through adult.
Q: What are your hours?
A: Our hours of operation vary. Lessons are by appointment only.
Q: Do you offer 1-hour lessons?
A: Yes, we usually recommend starting with 30 minute lessons for especially for younger students.
Q: How long should I practice?
A: Practice time should be at least 30 minutes a day.
